The Sync System pairs the Mahlkönig E80W Grind-by-Sync* espresso grinder with a La Marzocco machine** for seamless synchronization using the Mahlkönig Sync app and La Marzocco Pro mobile app. The system allows wireless communication between the grinder and the espresso machine to ensure every espresso shot is of unparalleled quality, reproducible across multiple locations, and by anyone operating the equipment. No more manual adjustments – just great-quality shots every time.

Introducing The Sync System, an innovative platform harnessing the power of data to elevate the art of professional coffee preparation.

Through wireless synchronization via the Mahlkönig Sync and La Marzocco Pro apps, the espresso machine and grinder exchange data through cloud-enabled technology, adjusting the grind size automatically. If the shot runs too fast, indicating a coarse grind, the app signals the grinder to refine the grind adjustment. If the shot is too slow, indicating too fine of a grind, the grinder adjusts to a coarser grind setting. This real-time communication ensures consistency in taste and quality to create the perfect cup, regardless of location.

With repeatable quality covered through automation, baristas have more time to interact with customers and increase sales volume output, all while reducing coffee waste.

Our vision for Grind-by-Sync extends beyond being a Mahlkönig and La Marzocco digital partnership. We aim to evolve it into the go-to ecosystem for professional coffee preparation by facilitating data exchange with other coffee equipment and software solutions. The initial collaboration involves La Marzocco, with whom we premier this technology via a collaborative launch plan, as we share the overarching goal of delivering quality coffee moments with unmatched speed and convenience.

Mahlkönig Sync is a digital solution serving as a comprehensive hub for gathering and analyzing data across the coffee preparation process. From equipment usage and consumption patterns to predictive and preventative grinder maintenance insights - retailers, managers, and roasters can make informed decisions about their business.

The mobile app allows for easy pairing of the grinder to the machine for synchronized grind-brew events and shows the relevant statistics. The desktop app enables users to view grinder-specific and aggregated operational data and consumption trends through a reporting dashboard. Managers can define and control coffee recipes per grinder with an automatic rollout of updated recipes. Both apps allow for remote and local data access.
